Hi, I'm Vikki.

I'm a professional dog trainer in Bury St Edmunds, and I'm passionate about helping dog owners just like you and aim to set you and your dog up for success with all of your training goals using modern, force-free, positive reinforcement training methods to help grow that all important bond between you and your pooch!

I offer puppy and follow on classes as well as 1-to-1 sessions in the comfort of your own home, addressing all common training issues including puppy biting, toilet training, recall, loose lead walking and many more!

Just a little bit about me, I decided to become a dog trainer after we got Finn, our Border Collie. I was a first-time dog owner and completely clueless, but desperate not to get things wrong. We tried a few trainers but they didn't align with my ethics and the way I wanted to bring Finn up. Eventually we found a wonderful trainer who taught us the power of positive reinforcement and games based training. Once I saw the results and had built a wonderful bond with Finn, I wanted more dog owners to know about these methods! Finesse Dog Training was officially born in 2021, after I undertook two full years of training to learn as much as I could. The learning never stops! I became accredited with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) in 2023 and a proud holder of The Dog Trainer School (TDTS) Professional Standard a few months later.

In September of 2025, I decided not to return to my office job after maternity leave, and instead chose to expand Finesse. I now offer dog walking services, puppy drop-in visits and wedding chaperoning. Deciding to become a dog walker allows me to explore Bury St Edmunds, and indulge in nature in some of the gorgeous Suffolk countryside that we're so lucky to have on our doorstep!
