At Finesse Dog Training, we are passionate about helping as many dog owners as possible!
In line with our accreditations and memberships, we use ethical, positive reinforcement methods and train with a ‘hands-off’ approach as much as possible.
Positive reinforcement training methods have a multitude of benefits, including confidence building, clear communication and less stress for your dog. All the while building that all important lifelong bond and a mutual respect between you and your pooch!
Using these methods, we will give you the important skills, advice and support to navigate your way through dog ownership, whether it’s your first rodeo, or you’re a dog owning expert!
We offer a number of services, most of which can be tailored specifically to yours and your dog’s needs.

Our Puppy School course provides a safe and controlled environment for puppies to learn important life skills such as recall, loose lead walking as well as bond-building trick training. This course also offers socialisation opportunities for puppies to interact with other pups and people in a positive way. Our Puppy School program is also a great source of support and guidance for new dog owners, helping you learn how to train your pup and address any questions or concerns you may have. These classes run as 6 week blocks at the New Bury Community Centre, IP32 6TD and cost £99 for the course.

Workshops
1-2-1 Sessions
Our 1-2-1 dog training sessions offer a personalised approach that caters directly to your dog's unique needs and your specific goals. These training sessions are conducted in the comfort of your own home or in the real-world environment your dog faces daily, making the training more relevant and effective. The price of these is £60 per 1 hour consultation.
Our dog training workshops offer learning experiences on specific behaviours or skills. Unlike our weekly classes, our workshops are condensed sessions that delve deeper into a particular topic, such as loose lead walking, recall or impulse control. This focused approach allows you and your dog to master new skills in a shorter timeframe.
These workshops are held at the New Bury Community Centre. The cost of these is £25 per session. Check back here or our social media for dates of our next workshops.
Dog Walking Services
Our dog walking services cover Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding areas. Your pooch will enjoy an enriching 60 minute adventure in some of Suffolk's loveliest locations with a professional dog walker. We'll explore local parks, trails and woodlands with a group of up to 6 well matched friends, before heading back home for a well deserved nap! A one-hour group walk costs £18.
Training Walks
Our Training Walk package combines your dog’s exercise needs with focused training sessions in real life scenarios. During these walks, we will work with your dog on lead manners, impulse control amidst distractions, or recall, depending on your specific requirements. The package consists of three 45 min walks and one 30 minute handover with you at the end. We will take your dog for these walks so that we can work on the unwanted behaviours ourselves, before handing over and showing you what we’ve done. This package costs £200.

"Vikki is absolutely amazing! Her techniques with dog training are beyond amazing! You can definitely tell she is very passionate about what she does, and this reflects in the training classes. Myself and my puppy Winnie have attended for the past 6 weeks and it's been fantastic. Not only has she helped train Winnie but us too, she's helped guide us as we're first time dog parents, she's always been just an email away for any help or further guidance on training. We have managed to bond with Winnie so much more as a result of Vikki and her team's help! She has also helped recommend things such as harnesses and treats etc.! The other 5 puppies in the class have also been a pleasure to work with and I think Winnie has made plenty of new friends! We will continue to see Vikki as Winnie grows on a 1-1 basis! The only down side of puppy class is that it ends eventually, we will miss the team and Winnie will miss the kisses and cuddles and most of all... the treats"
